Physical Appearance:
Anna stands a little taller than average at five feet and six inches, and has a fairly toned, athletic build to her body. She tans easily, and usually appears as such, given her hometown's warmer, coastal climate. Long glossy black hair which would normally fall to her waist is most often swept into bunches to keep it out of her way, leaving only a few bangs across her face, parted to avoid getting into her eyes, which are soft brown in colour.
Whilst travelling, Anna wears a bright green t-shirt, dark denim shorts, pink tights and grey shoes, often adding a very faintly-pink hoody and white leg warmers until the warmer summer weather sets in. Strung along one arm are an array of brightly coloured jelly bangles, and her belongings are kept in a pink and grey canvas bag she made for herself. On her head, she wears a pair of green goggles. She will usually have her fingernails painted in the same shade of green, or pink to match her bag and tights. She is sometimes seen with a small bow and quiver of arrows, which are otherwise carried in her bag with the rest of her belongings.

Personality:
Anna is often brutally honest, with very little filter between her mind and her mouth, causing her to come off a lot harsher than she intends to at times, despite her not wanting to. When that happens, she is usually quick to realise, and apologise straight up. She's tough and able to hold her own in a fight if she has to, but prefers not to resort to actual violence if she can help it. She can be a bit of a prankster at times.
If Anna thinks she is right, it becomes incredibly difficult to get her to back down- even if she knows she's wrong, just to save her pride. If someone crosses her, or someone she cares about, she'll find it very hard to let it go; even if she claims the person has been forgiven, she definitely does not forget. When faced with difficult situations, Anna's solution is to rely on her instinct, which does not always work out for the best.
Her biggest pet peeve is anyone who is unwilling to work for what they want, and expect instead to be handed things on a plate- she believes that if you want something, or if you have dreams or goals, that you should seize every chance that comes to you, and work for those things. A skilled archer, Anna is firm believer in practising to hone one's talents and hobbies, including Pokemon training and battling.
History:
Born in Slateport, Hoenn; Anna's parents had married young, and their relationship was always turbulent, resulting in a prolonged separation and divorce when their daughter was six years old, after her father found out about his wife's boyfriend. At first her mother was given primary custody of the child, moving her back to the woman's home town of Lilycove. Anna and her soon-to-be stepfather did not see eye to eye, however, causing many arguments over the years.
The birth of Paulette and Wallace's twin sons resulted in more arguments, and Anna made the decision to live with her father when she was eight years of age, moving back to her beloved Slateport City. Her father owned a small boat tour service, and she would often tag along when he took visitors out to sea, doing odd jobs wherever she could to pull her weight, though her father had never asked her to. Anna also took up archery as a hobby soon after moving to Slateport, and continued with it until she left the city at seventeen.
As she grew older, Anna saw her mother and the Straights less and less, preferring to spend holidays with her father and aunt Teresa, who was closer to her own age and encouraged Anna's pranks and antics. An accomplished trainer and travelling near constantly, Teresa would stop by whenever she was in Hoenn with stories for Anna about the far-off places she had seen.
Though Anna had planned to begin her own journey when she was thirteen, she was unable to do so. Her father was caught in a car accident, forcing him to spend several weeks in hospital and leaving Anna and Teresa to run the house and boat whilst he recovered.
Her father having lost the use of his legs, Anna forced herself to stick around because she felt that he needed her, despite his protests that she go and travel as she'd always wanted. The teen was instead taking extra classes to prepare herself further, and working part-time to raise money so that she wasn't struggling when she finally got onto the road. In reality, she was stalling, having realised that she did not have any certain goals for such a journey and wishing to find one before she left.
Teresa eventually announced that she was moving back to Slateport to teach trainer classes there, wanting to settle somewhere for a while instead of her constant travelling. When she arrived, she had a gift for Anna that she had brought from Unova- a Pokemon egg, prompting her niece to begin her journey and reassuring her that she would find her own goal in time.
After the Oshawott hatched from the egg, and the two had bonded and trained a little with Teresa's guidance, Anna boarded a boat that took her to the far-off region of Enaki.Pokémon on Hand
